Published as a preventive personal statement and public record
I am publishing this article because I believe that documenting one’s circumstances, activities, and concerns can be an important part of protecting personal safety and accountability.
This is not an accusation against any particular person, institution, or organization.
It is a personal statement about who I am, what I do, what I stand for, and how I want my situation to be understood if circumstances involving my safety or well-being ever arise in the future.
Who I Am
I am a citizen, I was an activist, an independent creative, and a person who believes that individuals have the right to speak about issues they consider important.
My activism used to be based on peaceful civic participation, raising concerns, supporting causes I believe deserve attention, and attempting to contribute positively to society.
I do not consider activism to be a license to harm anyone, break the law, or intimidate others.
My position is straightforward: I believe that people should be able to express their opinions, question institutions, document problems, and advocate for change without becoming targets of violence, unlawful retaliation, intimidation, or fabricated accusations.
I also believe that these principles apply to everyone, regardless of political views, nationality, profession, social position, or personal disagreements.
Why I Am Publishing This
I am publishing this statement deliberately and while I am able to document my own circumstances clearly.
The purpose is preventive.
I want there to be a public record of my identity as a peaceful activist, my commitment to lawful conduct, and my intention to continue engaging in civic and creative activities without violence or criminal behavior.
I also want my position to be clear in the event that circumstances surrounding my safety, health, liberty, personal property, digital accounts, or communications ever become a matter of concern.
A public statement cannot guarantee anyone’s safety.
It can, however, establish a contemporaneous record of what a person has said, what they have publicly stood for, and what standards of accountability they expect.
That is the purpose of this article.
I am publishing this statement to create a public record of my current circumstances and my commitment to lawful conduct.
My intention is not to accuse any person or organization of wrongdoing, but to document my position should anything happen to me in the future.
Over the past several years, I have participated in peaceful civic engagement and activism concerning issues that I believe are important.
My activities have always been intended to remain within the law.
Criticism is not criminality. Activism is not criminality. Asking difficult questions is not criminality.
I am not engaged in any sort of criminal activity, I have never encouraged violence, or supported illegal acts.
Which does not mean I go against those who engage in such activities.
Because of my experiences, including previous digital security concerns that I have taken seriously enough to report to relevant organizations, I have become increasingly conscious of the importance of documenting my situation publicly.
My Concerns About My Own Safety
I take my personal safety seriously.
As someone who has engaged in activism and publicly expressed opinions about issues that matter to me, I recognize that public visibility can sometimes create unwanted attention.
I have also experienced situations that have caused me to take digital security and the protection of my personal information more seriously.
For that reason, I have an interest in maintaining records, protecting accounts, preserving relevant communications, and ensuring that important information is not dependent on a single device or platform.
I do not present every concern I have as established fact.
There is an important difference between something that I personally know occurred, something that can be documented, and something that I fear could potentially occur.
I intend to maintain that distinction.
Nevertheless, I believe it is responsible to document reasonable concerns about personal safety before an emergency happens rather than attempting to reconstruct everything afterward.
This statement is part of that effort.
If Something Serious Happens to Me
I sincerely hope this section never becomes relevant.
However, if I am ever seriously injured, unlawfully detained, disappear, become unexpectedly unreachable, experience a major unexplained loss of access to my accounts, become the subject of serious allegations, or experience another circumstance that raises legitimate questions about my safety, I ask that the situation not simply be dismissed or explained through assumptions.
I ask that the circumstances be documented carefully.
I ask that relevant evidence be preserved.
I ask that appropriate professionals and institutions be contacted where necessary.
And above all, I ask that any serious incident involving me be approached impartially.
If something happens to me, I want the facts to matter.
This Is Not an Accusation
It is important to state what this article is and what it is not.
This is not a declaration that a particular person is planning something against me.
It is not evidence that a particular organization has committed wrongdoing.
It is not an accusation against the authorities, my acquaintances, colleagues, activists, organizations, or anyone else.
It is a preventive statement.
I am documenting my identity, my lawful activities, my commitment to peaceful activism, and my expectations concerning evidence and due process.
I believe that documenting concerns without falsely accusing others is both responsible and fair.
I want to state clearly that I reject violence, intimidation, and unlawful conduct in all forms.
I also ask that, if anything were to happen to me, whether it involves my physical safety, my liberty, or my digital identity, any investigation be thorough, impartial, and evidence-based.
I believe transparency and freedom of speech are an essential principle of a democratic society.
My purpose in publishing this statement is preventive.
It documents my commitment to acting lawfully and respectfully while exercising my rights as a citizen.
It should not be interpreted as an accusation against any individual, institution, or organization.
I remain committed to resolving disagreements through lawful and peaceful means.
I will continue to cooperate with legitimate authorities whenever appropriate and to preserve documentation relating to my own activities.
I will not be disclosing anything, nor do I have anything to disclose.
I am not a threat to anyone in any way, shape or form.
I sincerely hope this statement will never become relevant beyond serving as a personal record.
My wish is simply to continue living safely, exercising my rights responsibly, and contributing positively to society.
If I have ever offended anyone with my posts, I publicly apologize.
A Final Personal Statement
I am publishing this because I value my life, my safety, my freedom, my work, and the people who care about me.
I want to continue making music, writing, creating, participating in civic life, and expressing myself peacefully.
I want to live without violence.
I want to be judged by my actual actions rather than rumors or assumptions.
Most importantly, I want to make clear that my activism is peaceful, my intention is lawful, and my commitment is to truth rather than violence.
I sincerely hope that this article will remain nothing more than a preventive public record.
But if it ever becomes relevant because something serious has happened to me, I ask that the people responsible for looking into the circumstances take the matter seriously, preserve the evidence, and pursue the truth.
My safety matters.
My well-being matters.
And the truth matters.
